Celebrate breast/chest feeding, our first traditional food, in this interactive workshop. This workshop is free and open to anyone who would benefit from education on all aspects of breast/chest feeding.

We will be learning the basics of breast/chest feeding, answering questions and learning from each other. Removing barriers and uplifting traditional first foods for young Indigenous families is a critical step toward creating a vibrant Indigenous food system and reconnecting families to cultural and spiritual aspects of birth.

Traditional snacks and teas will be provided.

The workshop speaker is Rosa Gardiner, a long-standing community member with 20-plus years of lactation consultant experience with breastfeeding families. Rosa has achieved the certification of an international board-certified lactation consultant as well as being a registered nurse. Special guest is Lori Gambardella, Sault Tribe traditional practitioner.
